Dr. Director has been in the dental field for well over 15 years, first as a dental assistant, then as a dentist! She has always been drawn to this career due to her passion for helping others, and she loves the fact that she gets to see patients of all ages, from kids to adults and seniors. Whether she’s providing gentle and attentive care to help ease anxiety in a child with special needs to collaborating with a senior to offer dental health tips and advice to help them maintain their quality of life, she’s always happy to meet patients where they are to improve their well-being. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Even from an early age, Dr. Director has always been passionate about helping people achieve healthy, happy smiles, which is why going into the dental field seemed like the perfect career fit for her. She was fascinated by the intricacies of dental procedures and how they could help relieve pain and improve lives.
Her journey in the dental field began over 15 years ago when she started working as a dental assistant. She enjoyed being able to collaborate with the dentists and patients she worked with every day and quickly realized the profound impact that good dental care can have on a person’s health and confidence. This experience fueled her desire to continue in her career, pursue further education and training, and ultimately become the dentist she is today!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Director completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) and went to dental school at the Western University of Health Sciences, College of Dental Medicine. She has always remained committed to continuing her learning and professional development and regularly participates in continuing education courses to stay abreast of the latest advancements in dentistry.

In addition to her clinical work, she has contributed to dental research, specifically in the area of Multiple Myeloma, and has been published. Her dedication to advancing dental science and improving patient care through research is immense, and she’s proud to be a part of the wider academic and research dental communities.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Director comes from a large, close-knit family that has been a constant source of support and joy in her life, so much so that her cousin is the oral surgeon at Diamond Bright Dental! She’s proud of this aspect and the fact that her family gets to provide quality, personalized care to families in Arleta and Pacoima.
She and her supportive husband have a wonderful rescue dog, Nugget, who brings endless joy and happiness to their home.
In addition to exercising and hiking with Nugget and her husband, Dr. Director is passionate about the environment and always strives to make environmentally conscious choices in both her daily life and at the practice.
